Job Description
Java Architect:Academic Qualifications, Years of Experience & Job Requirements
B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech, MSc - IT/Computers preferable.
Experience and Skills : (7+ yrs of Java development experience, including design patterns & JAVA Enterprise Technologies that include - Servlets/JSPs, JDBC, POJO’s, )
Experience with Web services, XML, WSDL, JDOM
Experience with MVC frameworks (Struts)
Working knowledge with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and frameworks (jquery)
Working knowledge with JPA frameworks (Hibernate)
Strong OO design patterns and concepts
Working knowledge with RDBMS (oracle), SQL
Experience with application servers (Tomcat)
Working knowledge in an IDE (e.g. eclipse)
Strong comfortable level with both Linux and scripting
Experience with a CM tool such as SVN
Experience with Rules based workflow engines development and functional programming
Writing design documents and performing formal code reviews
Experience in leading the technical teams for application development, for a minimum of 3 years
Experience in designing product modules and system both from external and internal prospects
Responsibilities
Development and delivery ownership of a module
· Responsible for leading team of 5-7 developers through the entire lifecycle of software development, including unit and integration testing, analysis and design, and supporting documentation of requirements and design and artifacts
· Ability to present solutions to both Technical & Non-Technical project members and must have strong leadership communication and collaboration skills
· Leadership for the formal design documents according to defined processes, perform code reviews, and provide unit testing for each module developed
· Performance and/or Leadership on the builds and upgrades of the build process
· Ability to develop goals and objectives for self and for the team, especially aligning with organization goals
