2880= 2*1440=20*144=4*5*144

2880= 2*1440=20*144=4*5*144
4 and 144 are perfect squares. As product of perfect squares is a perfect square 2880 should be either divided or multiplied by 5.

QUESTION WRONG
It should be like “(1/2) of a number is 3 more than the (1/6) of the same number”
Sol: (x/2) = 3+(x/6)
Sol: (x/2) = 3+(x/6)
6. There are two pipes A and B. If A filled 10 liters in hour B can fills 20 liters in same time. Likewise B can fill 10, 20, 40, 80,160 .if B filled in (1/16) th of a tank in 3 hours, how much time will it take to fill completely?
Ans: 7 hours
First 3 hrs.. 10+20+40= 70ltrs
So, 70 ltrs = 1/16 =>Total = 1120 ltrs
10+20+40+80+160+320+… is the quantity of filling so in 7th hour the tank gets filled. (Can be done using G.M Method also)
7. In a market 4 man are standing .the average age of the four before 4years is 45,aftyer some days one man is added and his age is 49.what is the average weight of all?
Ans: 49

8. There are 10 reading spots in a room. Each reading spot has a round table. Each round table has 4 chair. If different no of persons are sitting at each reading spot. And if there are 10 persons inside the room then how many reading spots do not have atleast a single reader.

At each table, 1, 2, 3, 4 ppl will be sitting respectively as per the above conditions. So 10-4 = 6 reading spots do not have atleast a single reader.

Ans (7+9)/2=8.
10. A boy want to make a cuboid of dimension 5m, 6m, 7m. from small cubes of .03 m3. later he realized he can make same cuboid by making it hollow. Then it take some cubes less. What is the no. of these cube.
Ans. Vol of solid cuboid= 5*6*7=210 m3. Vol of its inner cuboid by removal of which the cuboid will be hollow= (5-2)*(6-2)*(7-2)=60 m3, then ans will be 60/.03
11. Two years ago A was 6 times older than B. Now he is 2 times older than B. What is the age of A.
Ans. Age of A=5, Age of B= Two and half.
Let the present ages of A and B be A and B respectively.
From 1st statement (A-2)=6(B-2)
2nd statement A=2B

Ans. 78-45=33. HINT:a3-b3=(a-b)(a2+ab+b2)
13. Out of 7 children the youngest is boy then find the probability that all the remaining children are boys

ans:probability=(1/2)^6=1/64
14. On planet korba, a solar blast has melted the ice caps on its equator. 9 years after the ice melts, tiny planetoids called echina start growing on the rocks. Echina grows in the form of circle, and the relationship between the diameter of this circle and the age of echina is given by the formula d = 4*√ (t-9) for t ≥ 9 where d represents the diameter in mm and t the number of years since the solar blast.Jagan recorded the radius of some echina at a particular spot as 7mm. How many years back did the solar blast occur?

Ans:put d=7 in given equation and square both side and then find the value of t.

If the speed of Mohan's Mercedes is 35 km/hr and the distance traveled by the Ferrari is 490 km, find the total time taken for Rohit to drive that distance.

Solution:
This is the most repeated question in Tcs so prepare it well. It has no logic but it’s answer comes like this
Firstly add 2 max values i.e 20+18=38
Then add 2 to answer i.e. 38+2=40 so this is the answer.
19. There is a square. 5 circles are kept on the diagonal of the square such that the two extreme circles touch the two sides of the square.each circle has equal radius.find the ratio of side of hte squae to that of the radius.
ans: diagonal=(root 2)*a , a= side of the square.
The additon of diameters of all the circles is equal to (root2)*a
2*7*r=(root2)*a
But the two extreme circles wiil not touch at the corners so we have to find those distances.
x=distanse at on corner=r*((root2)-1)
but toal distance=2*x due to 2nd corner
hence tatladistance=2*x+2*7*r
or 2*x+2*7*r=(root2)*a
now you can find the ratio easily.
20. A Sheet of paper has statements number from 1 to 20. Statement n says "At least n of the statements on this sheet are true". Which statements are true and which are false.
a. The even no statements are true and the odd no statements are false.
b. The 1st 13 statements are false and rest are true.
c. The 1st 6 statements are true and rest are false
d. The odd no statements are true and even no. are false.
Solution: This type of question was repeated 3 times but for different case.
